The RCATV was formed late in 2007 as an incorporated not-for-profit organization known as Renfrew County All Terrain Vehicle Club Inc. The RCATV is dedicated to providing leadership and support to its membership, in addition to establishing and maintaining quality ATV trails throughout the region. In conjunction with its partners, trail use is promoted in a safe and environmentally responsible manner in order to further enjoy ATVing..
RCATV partners with the Eastern Ontario Trails Alliance (EOTA), the County of Renfrew, Ottawa Valley Tourist Association, and the Ministry of Natural Resources to bring linked trails to Renfrew County. ATVing excitement is offered on its many miles of managed trails that meander through forests, lake view vistas and remarkable Ontario landscapes.
An EOTA trail pass is required on private or leased property and can be enforced under the Trespass to Property Act, R.S.O. 1990,c.T.21 and Occupiers Liability Act, R.S.O. 1990, c. O.2. Members are asked to show respect for and agree not to trespass on private property, and shall access the trails system only from May 1st to December 1st.
The cost of a trail permit is $140/season; $75/week or $20/day and provides access to trails in Ontario and Québec. Permits can be purchased at a number of locations in the Ottawa Valley.
Explore a 600-kilometre network of trails built on a foundation of abandoned rail lines and forest access roads. This adventurous route winds its way across the countryside passing through several rural communities that provide riders with convenient access to a wide variety of supplies, services and accommodations.
Located in the Ottawa Valley/Eastern Ontario, the natural beauty of these lands is unsurpassed. Our trail systems cuts through muddy wetlands, shaded forests, shimmering lakes and verdant farmlands.
